Deck Repairs West End

Many boards and several joists were replaced to eliminate rot-affected timber. Despite the colour difference that shows in the photo the timber is the same species. It is often impractical to completely renew the surface of the old boards as it requires too much material to be removed. The deck here looks shiny as it’s just been rinsed after having a thorough deck wash.

This photo shows the deck after repairs and prior to sanding. The deck coating had completely failed in some areas leading to the blotchy appearance across the deck.
